Safety tip of the day
October 15, 2009
I was visiting Glendale Fire Station 25 today for an earthquake preparedness story and got a pretty interesting tip from engineer Tony Castro.
If you keep water in an emergency kit, it should be thrown out every two years because the chemicals in the water go bad.
Water should be thrown out when the expiration date is up, he said.
Who would have thought that bottled water can actually go bad? Not me.
