During oral communications, Mohill  railed against the city’s spending. After questioning a number of Glendale Water & Power contracts, he rested his sights on a $100,000 contract the City Council approved with Bloomberg Financial Services.

Bloomberg provides real-time online financial data services, which the city treasurer uses to access investment news and information and communicate with brokers, according to the city report.

“He wants $100,000? I’ll do it for free,” Mohill said.

The city didn’t take him up on his offer.

That crash was one of many seen on highways during the recent rains.

More than 180 traffic collisions were reported from midnight to 6 a.m. today on local roadways, according to the California Highway Patrol, compared to 19 collisions a week ago.

So the Humane Society is now asking the public to urge the restaurant chain to stop using eggs from caged hens.
