Custom woodwork gallery opens July 25

July 23, 2009

Monday on Business Spotlight we feature Glendale resident Tim Hassemer of Gallery H Custom Furniture and Woodwork in Burbank.

The store, at 2214B Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank, will have its grand opening on July 25. Hasserman doesn’t call his gallery a “furniture store” but a gallery where he creates art made out of wood. The works he creates have a heavy metal influence as evidenced by the spikey, devil’s ear designs he gives his work.

The Santa Fe, N.M., native has been working with wood since his boyhood years, following in the footsteps of his father. Hasserman, who plays drums for his band, Flatline, wanted to go into drawing prior to becoming a woodworker. Positive peer pressure from his family and friends prompted Hasserman to open his own business, that as of this writing, has only been active for about a week-and-a-half.
