City employees file restraining order
A Glendale man was ordered Friday to stay away from two city Housing Department employees, who he made racial remarks to and threatened.
Jorge Murillo wept aloud in court when explaining to the Judge Laura Matz that he was agoraphobic and suffered from panic attacks, which he said could have led to his threatening behavior.
He apologized for his racial insensitivity in which he told an Armenian employee that the Turks’ actions in the Armenian Genocide were justified.
He also left a threatening voice mail on a second employee’s phone.
Murillo had been receiving Section 8 from the Housing Department. But he recently got a letter for termination because he allegedly had two residences, which violates Section 8 policies.
