Opium dealers found guilty
Razmik Alchian, 37, of Glendale was found guilty of conspiracy to transport drugs and possessing opium for sales, said Glendale Police Det. Dave Kellogg . Ali Nouri, 35, of Reseda, was also found guilty of possession a controlled substance, he said.
They face a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
The drug shipment, which has a street value of $500,000, was likely going to be parceled into smaller amounts to be sold to local residents, police said.
The pair were arrested March 10, immediately after undercover detectives discovered the shipment.
