Obama criticizes media coverage of town hall meetings
President Obama today criticized the news media’s coverage of town hall meetings on the federal healthcare reform bill .
According to an AP article, Obama told a crowd in Montana that cameras and journalists have unfairly focused on the protestors that have attended meetings across the country, rather than the helpful discussion that he argues occured at many of the meetings.
“TV loves a ruckus,” Obama said, according to the article.
“What you haven’t seen on TV, and what makes me proud, are the many constructive meetings going on all over the country,” he continued.
