Continuing off yesterday’s blog, here’s the latest on Glendale’s Advanced Placement numbers.

The number of Glendale Unified students who passed the AP exam has increased by 25% since 2005.

While the number of tests taken has increased, GUSD has improved its passing rate. In 2005, 55% of students passed the AP exam, and in 2009 that number increased to 58%.

AP History is the most popular exam, follwed by English, science, math and language.

By school: Crescenta Valley has a pass rate of 76%; Clark, 31%; Glendale, 44%; and Hoover, 46%.

What you need to know? More students are taking exams and more students are passing exams — a positive trend for GUSD.
