GCC trustees aim to clear atmosphere of distrust created under former Supt.

July 20, 2009

The Glendale Community College Board of Trustees will take its first major steps tonight related to improving relations between faculty, staff and administrators following the departure of former President/Supt. Audre Levy.

Levy left the college following a tense relationship between faculty and staff that was magnified in a report by two state academic body.

Trustees will vote to hire a pair of consultants to help rebuild trust between campus groups and will review a policy that would clarify the board’s obligations to accept advice from faculty, staff and students prior to making decisions that affect them.
